I happen to believe in letting your body “breathe”. I call it detox.
To me that means eliminating foods and beverages that wreak havoc on our bodies such as caffeine, alcohol, sugar, and processed foods. Overindulgence in these foods put our organs under stress. This is how diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer can take hold.
This article speaks about “detox” diets, and if they do in fact remove toxins. Call it a detox, a cleanse, or breathing, eliminating harmful foods from your diet, for at least a short period of time, is beneficial to your body and it’s organs.
